Our Equipment
We supply our medics with all the equipment they need to do their job properly. With over 10 years of operational experience, we know exactly what is required. A number of different kits are available to staff, depending on what level of coverage you require. Below is a snapshot of our different kit arrangements and what they include, to help your decision regarding which medic to book for your event.
EMT-1 Comprehensive First Aid/Sports Medicine Kit
We are well informed when it comes to knowing what is required in a first aid kit. With over 50 different items available to officers ranging from safety pins to military-designed complex wound dressings, we are well prepared to cater to your first aid and sports medicine needs. Our kits are sturdy, high visibility, compact and well-organised, enabling our medics to deliver excellent patient care wherever and whenever it is needed.
EMT-2 Responder Kit
In addition to the above EMT-1 equipment, our EMT-2 Responder Kits are stocked with extra equipment for thorough patient assessment and a number of drugs, ensuring that your patrons receive professional first-aid support.
Oxygen Kit
Oxygen therapy is part of any basic life support protocol. As a general rule, it is critical to ensure that a patient is receiving sufficient oxygen. Our medics can deliver oxygen therapy to the patient at the scene, and can perform expired air resuscitation with 100% oxygen if necessary. Oxygen therapy is available to EMT-2s and higher.
Defibrillation Pack
All of our EMT-2s and higher are equiped with semi-automatic defibrillators. We use Lifepak defibrillators especially because they are compatible with those used by Queensland Ambulance Service. This ensures that resuscitative efforts are streamlined when an ambulance arrives. Defibrillation is well known to be the difference between life and death for a patient who suffers cardiac arrest due to heart rhythm disturbance. Early defibrillation is part of the chain of survival, and without it, a patient needing it will surely die. It is best done as soon as possible, and for this reason you may see a medic running with a defibrillator if there is a patient at your event in cardiac arrest - it is this urgent. CPR is important, but CPR is mostly aimed at keeping a person alive until defibrillation can occur. The decision to book an EMT-2 or higher may very well save the life of a patron via early defibrillation.
EMT-3 Advanced Skills Pack
These kits are large and expensive. There is very little we have not thought of. Over 150 key items are included in these kits, enabling our qualified EMT-3s to deliver intensive patient care on scene and prior ambulance arrival. We have focussed on equipping our EMT-3s to be able to deliver useful emergency medical intervention for those patients who are able to benefit most from it. Importantly, the kit is well-organised, easily accessible and as compact as possible to ensure a prompt response. If you would like more information or a face-to-face demonstration with detailed explanation of kit contents, please contact us.
Large Event Stock System
We specialise in the medical management of large events. For some events, this practically equates to disaster preparation. How much paracetamol will a crowd of 40,000 go through? Oxygen? Vomit bags? We know and we provide. Beds, bandages, burn-cream, band-aids - everything. We have a specialised stock-management system to cope with all the first-aid needs of our clients, regardless of patient volume.
